St Raphael's
By Robert Lynch
“Hello?”
“Excellent. You’re awake.”
“Where am I? It’s very dark in here.”
“You were in an accident. You’re at the trauma ward at St Raphael’s Hospital.”
“Oh god! Is that why it’s so dark? Am I blind?”
“It’s going to be OK. The doctors here are specialists in severe trauma.”
“How bad is it?”
“The EMTs were able to find several portions of your brain, and using your latest brain scan; the doctors have been rehousing your brain tissue in a new scaffold. You can expect to have a new body grown in about 5 months. It will be alright.”
